Course Description
This course provides students with an understanding of the basic concepts and issues that are associated with the management and regulation of healthcare providers and the delivery of health services. Emphasis is placed on third party payers in reimbursement of health care services. These include Medicare, Medicaid and Private Insurers. Alternative systems of organization are also introduced, as are changes occurring in the health care professions and the health care sector as a whole.
