GIS-104 Introduction to Geographic Information3 Credits This introductory course covers the evolution of maps and projections, as well as the modern uses of GIS and Remote Sensing (RS). This course explores various methods of capturing data for use in GIS, including digitizing from maps, digital photos, satellite imagery, and Global Positioning Systems (GPS). A NASA program used to simulate satellite movements is utilized in this course. 2 hours lecture/2 hours lab Pre-Requisite: Exit all Basic Skills
